It’s Spring! It’s Spring! *jumps up and down in heels*
I’ve been getting my life now that winter is over, snapping nature shots on Instagram, twirling through the park and brunching overlooking the Hudson River. Life is good, cue Nas.
Dressing for Spring is my absolute favorite because you can finally shed layers of winter clothes. And the first layer I do away with is bulky, cumbersome, annoying wool or puffy coats. Disappear!
In their place, I like to opt for breezy warm weather jackets that become part of the ensemble and can easily be incorporated into any full lewk.
My Lanvin for H&M zebra trench is a perennial favorite (still get compliments years later!), I live in my leather jacket and I recently bought a camouflage moment from ASOS:

1. The Trench
A closet staple, the sexy trench gets updates every season! This Spring, the shiny Burberry trench is pretty much ubiquitous (and the ultimate statement piece) and there’s also an array of studded trenches and pleated girly ones. I’ll always have a special place in my heart for my Lanvin for H&M zebra trench:

2. The Camouflage Jacket
The camouflage jacket is the ultimate grunge meets glam number. It’s traditionally rugged and sporty but you can glam it up with dresses, floral prints or pops of red.

3. Leather Sleeve Jacket
The newest style of the season, leather sleeve jackets just scream cool! I’ve seen everything from army green to floral to tweed jackets with leather sleeves. They instantly add a glam factor to anything you wear underneath whether you rock it with a neon dress or with floral pants.

4. Leather Biker Jackets
Will this look ever go out of style? My guess is absolutely not. But in addition to black, we’re seeing colored jackets make their mark this Spring. It’s a fresh and cool update to a warm weather classic. I fell in love with this red jacket from ASOS:

5. Bomber Jacket
This is the one warm weather jacket I don’t yet own (I told yall my online shopping habit is a problem) but I have my eye on this floral one on Aimee Song:
It’s so effortless and retro (it reminds me of “Grease,” my favorite musical) and looks super cool dressed up with jeans and heels.
