I so wish I could have jetted off to Paris Fashion Week. Not just because I wanted to see Karl Lagerfeld’s version of the end of the world or the brothel at Louis Vuitton in person either. That would be selfish! I wanted to go for you, Glamazons! To be able to report the trends from the trenches!
But for now, live streams and style.com will have to do. I still have 5 trends that were all over the runways and will be on our sidewalks come Fall 2011. Ready?
Fur On All The Trimmings
I couldn’t help but notice that there weren’t just a ton of fur coats everywhere but there was fur details! Lots of em! Around the waist at Miu Miu, the collar at Collette Dinnigan and Elie Saab, even along the wrist at McQueen.
Jump Into These Onesies
Jumpsuits, onesies, whatever you want to call them, you need to have one. Well, Louis Vuitton, Elie Saab, Valentino, Chanel and Stella McCartney want you to need one of these adorable yet sexy pieces.
Get Ready To Get Laced
I love lace-up booties, especially knee-high ones. So I loved that Christian Dior (don’t shoot me, but I actually really liked Galliano’s collection), Alexander McQueen, Louis Vuitton, and YSL sent them down the runway!
Make Room For The Blues
There was one color that was all over the Paris Fashion Week. Actually, there was another color too, but more on that in a minute. Mugler, Louis Vuitton, Collette Dinnigan and Stella McCartney all want you to make room in your wardrobe for blue. Cobalt blue.
Lady in Red
Red has always been known for it’s powerful properties and who doesn’t love that! I do, and so do Christian Dior (I told you it was a really good collection), Elie Saab, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Louis V!
