This, my lovely Glamazons, has got to be one of the most unexpected beauty product launch surprises of the year for me! Last week, I was invited to an actual Dinner With Bevy! Gasp! Now, if you read our blog, you know that Coutura and I are KIND of obsessed with the prospect of attending these legendary dinners so I won’t wax on and on about the historical significance in the social scheme of New York life as to what this really means. However, I will say that Bevy Smith (that’s us pictured below!) is definitely the “hostess with the mostest” so everyone in attendance had a really great time!
However, before I talk about all that, let me give you the news first as to why I was even invited to all of this: Motions (the haircare brand that has undergone some serious upgrades!) has launched this new Hold & Shine Styling Spray. (Please believe me that I’ve been wearing this stuff ever since I left the event…love!) It’s a water-free spray that gives you long lasting hold but with a little bit of shine. Definitely the beautiful love child of hair spray and hair sheen, what I like most about this stuff is that it doesn’t weigh your hair down with grease nor does it make it super sticky. Did I also mention that it provides all-day humidity resistance?! SWOON. Trust me when I say that you’re going to fall in love with it just like I have! It’s cheap ($3.99-$4.99) but it definitely works and can be purchased at a drugstore near you!
So, after performing my beauty girl duty of testing out this new product there at the event (there were bottles of it strategically located within the bathroom hahaha) I mixed and mingled with some pretty fab beauty editors/bloggers/friends of Bevy. Celebrity hairstylist Ursula Stephen, who’s another bonafied Glamazon fave, was also there looking quite fab in a black lace top, matching black skirt and rocking a super chic updo.
One big part of Dinner With Bevy is that she doesn’t like to think of these things as a “networking event” and encourages all those who attend to build actual relationships. Such a great concept! Everyone ate and drank to their hearts content and I was able to talk with people that I don’t normally have access to (like the lovely Michaela Angela Davis… I’m also kind of obsessed with her as well!)
Needless to say, in true Ferocia fashion, I ate, talked and drank waaaay too much (haha) so I had to practically wheel myself out to catch a cab. (Luckily there was a super cute doorman there to get one for me. I just love playing the “damsel in distress” card sometimes hahaha)
So, has anyone else tried the Motions Hold & Shine Styling Spray and, if not, who plans on scooping it up to try for themselves?!

Wow, this event looked like it was fun. This is my first time reading your blog, I might be a new fan.
