In collaboration news we never saw coming, Mary Katrantzou is teaming up with Adidas for a women’s apparel and footwear line. Get ready for gorgeous kaleidoscopic printed sneakers (which you can totally wear with dresses, I’m sure) and a more affordable price point than Katrantzou‘s eponymous line (which has fans in Sarah Jessica Parker, Kerry Washington, Jessica Alba and Rocsi Diaz).
Here’s what the designer had to say about her new collaboration: “I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing adidas trainers and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand.”
The brand echoed her sentiments with Dirk Schoenberger, global creative director, chiming in to say: “I admire Mary’s extraordinary sense of printing techniques, colours and silhouette that will bring another amazing new aesthetic to the adidas originals women’s collection.”
The first installment of Mary Katrantzou for Adidas will hit stores in November. Are you excited for it?
