I just love the idea of being whisked away for a romantic (I’ll settle for one with the girls) weekend. The only thing that throws a wrench in my oh, so, glamorous plans though, is figuring out what to pack. I don’t want to be that girl who overpacks shoving her life into a huge suitcase for 3 days. No, and I’m sure you don’t either. Here’s a few tips to ensure that we are never that girl so we can be whisked away for that weekend getaway.
Consider Where You Are Going
This seems like well, duh Glamazon Channing, but how many times have you ended up somewhere with a pool and didn’t have a suit handy? So consider where you are going.
Pieces That Can Be Mixed and Matched
It’s so easy to be able to get multiple wears out of a piece of clothing. For instance, a maxi dress that can be dressed down with gladiator flats or glamed up with platform pumps.
Certain Necessities
Obvis I don’t need to tell you to pack an extra pair of undies and socks, but you really should tuck an umbrella and a jean (khaki would also match well with others) jacket because you’ll never know when they might come in handy.
One Really Nice Outfit
Perhaps you’ll want to go to a fancy restie or club and there is a dress code, this will save you the embarrassment (and money) of having to rush out and grab something cute.
