Halloween is the perfect time to salute your top fashion icons like say Anna Wintour or Rachel Zoe with a fabulous costume in their honor. Or if you want to hit a Halloween party with a eyebrow-raising costume that gives off a bit of scandal perhaps John Galliano or Snooki fit the bill.
We’ve come up with several costumes inspired by our fashion faves – with items you can find conveniently on an online shopping site. And for kicks, I threw in my costume of choice this year: a leopard.
Anna Wintour
The head Glamazon in Charge’s wardrobe deems that you wear huge sunglasses, fur, sensible shoes and that signature bob. Don’t smile, always look important.
Rachel Zoe
You will look ba-na-nas as Anne Hathaway’s stylist in a faux fur vest, wide leg pants, sunnies and a wide brim hat. For affect I’d carry along a baby doll. Don’t forget to throw the word “literally” around in your sentences at least 15 times a minute. Maj!
Snooki
You can be everyone’s favorite meatball and frolic all night long wearing the shortest, tackiest dress you can find, plastic shoes, and Snooki ‘hump’ in your hair. If you really want to sell this I would add smudgy black liner, way too much bronzer, long acrylic nails (press ons are less damage) and scream, ‘Gianini, why’d you leave me?!’
Nicki Minaj
This rapper always looks like she’s playing dress up anyway so way not get in on the action? A pink wig and pillows stuffed in your leggings would be enough but top if off with MAC’s Pink Friday lipstick, and every toy in you can get your hands on.
A Leopard
I die for any and everything leopard. I’m sure you know this by now. And don’t judge me but ever since I saw Kourtney Kardashian and her sister Khloe Kardashian-Odom rocking leopard animal hoods, I have been on a mission to find something like it. Thus: the leopard costume. Animal coat with hood, leopard, pants, leopard shoes, leopard clutch. You know, how a Glamazon would look in the wild.
John Galliano
This man is such a character, it makes for the perfect Halloween costume. Rent a tux, get a top hat and stencil on rediculously huge eyebrows and mustache. Or, for a more tongue in cheek John Galliano look, rock the top hat and brows/’tache with an orange jumpsuit.
Lady Gaga
The queen of all things kooky looked the coolest in her infamous Telephone video when she brilliantly used soda cans as rollers. Throw on a studded jacket, bra and panties and some sky-high heels and you’ve got the Gaga look.
