Get The Look: How To Create Gorgeous, Beachy Waves (The Perfect Hair For Summer!)

I don’t know if it’s the 90-degree weather or the fact that I live on a peninsula, but I’m already set in summer beach mode. Whenever it’s time to take my beach bum status  into glammed-up overdrive flirty waves are my go-to hairstyle.  (I channel my inner Lauren Conrad. She always has amazing beach hair!) Whether you like your ‘do messy, like Jennifer Aniston or sleek, like Tyra Banks, these tips will help you get mermaid beach waves.

Soft, long waves:
1-Prep hair with a heat protectant being sure to saturate the ends of your hair
(Don’t flat iron or straighten hair prior to this)
2-Take one inch section of hair and starting near hair’s root, take a flat iron and twist hair in a 180 degree motion making an s-pattern. Move down the section of hair and repeat until you get near the tip. (You can also use a 1-inch curling iron to create this crimped pattern in hair.)
3-Finger style hair and add holding spray if desired.

Messy, heat-free waves:

1- Post shower, let hair air dry until it’s slightly damp
2- Apply a leave in conditioner to hair from root to tip
3-Lightly spritz hair with a holding spray
4-Next part hair allow it to frame face in desired way
5-Apply a horizontal part to hair from ear to ear, separating hair into two section
6-Wrap top section into a bun and secure it with bobby pins
7-Next, wrap the bottom half into a bun and secure with a bobby pin
8-The next morning, you hair will be a little big and poofy, but to control this you can add a smoothing serum to tame hair to desired volume

Glamazons, what’s your preferred wavy look? Are you excited about trying these methods for beach-ready waves?

Ciao Bellas,

Glamazon Margo
