Like much of America, I’ve fallen head over heels in love with the Braxtons! To be honest, I have been a Toni Braxton SUPER fan since the 90s but their hit reality TV show “Braxton Family Values” has endeared me towards the entire clan! Real talent, scintillating drama and the sister’s quirky sense of humor — what’s not to love? I am obsessed.com.
So you can just imagine how excited I was to attend the Gain Spring Flings event held in NYC and hosted by the Braxton sisters and featuring an exclusive performance by diva extraordinaire: the incomparable Miss Toni Braxton.
Before we go any further, can we just pause to acknowledge the hotness that is 46 year-old Toni? The six time Grammy award winning songstress is out here SLAYING chicks half her age. She was wearing a gorgeous black cut-out gown and looked absolutely flawless in person. I am convinced she has found the elixir of youth!
But back to the fun soiree. The event kicked off with the Braxton sisters describing their affiliation with the brand. Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Traci first posed on their red carpet and then hit the stage to talk about their unique experiences with Gain.

Towanda introduced us to the term Gainiacs (Gain loyalists) and admitted that even with their busy schedules shooting their hit reality show on WeTV, they are still Moms at the end of the day that love doing laundry with Gain.
While we were sipping on cocktails and enjoying the tasty finger food being served, we got a bit of a fun education download from the Gain team and Scent expert Dr. Alan Hirsch. He partnered with the brand to conduct a research that links scent to music. They found that if you smell Gain and then listen to a great song, you’ll enjoy the music more.
Dr. Hirsch was one of my favorite people to meet that night. He talks with a ton of contagious enthusiasm! It’s so much fun to listen to someone discuss a topic with vigor. He called the results of their study “groundbreaking.” Here’s why: Not only does the product deliver 3 in one benefits (it has 50% more scent, fights odors and has staying power) but Gain Flings makes listening to your favorite music even more enjoyable. It’s abundantly clear that the company is all about changing the whole laundry experience from a tedious chore to something you actually have fun doing. And the scent really is music to your nose!
Speaking of music, kicking off the performaces was “American Idol” alum Andrew Garcia. He performed a short medley and got the audience warmed up for Toni B. After a brief pause the “Unbreak My Heart” singer finally hit the stage and she did not disappoint.
She even serenaded a few of the men! My fiancé was one of the lucky recipients and let me tell you he was so EXCITED! I haven’t stoppped hearing about Toni Braxton since. :)

I also managed to introduce myself to Tamar‘s stylist Diandre Tristan. If his name sounds familiar it’s because he also styles Robin Roberts from “Good Morning America” on ABC. Overall, I had an awesome time and it was truly one of those magical NYC nights. I’ve always loved Gain but now I am truly a Gainiac! I love a brand that is always evolving and committed to elevating the user experience. I can now say this with 100% sincerity: I cant wait to do laundry!
