Glamazons,
I cannot think of anything better than a bevy of bold colors, prints, and patterns on the runway. And that’s exactly what we got with the Clover Canyon Fall 2014 show at New York Fashion Week.
To commemorate the third anniversary of the brand, designer Rozae Nichols paid homage to his Irish heritage as models walked and posed on grassy green knolls in dizzying graphic/digital prints.
Here are the Details on Clover Canyon’s Fall 2014 Collection:
Inspiration: Reminiscent of the green Irish countryside, the theme was “Celtic enchantment,” which pulled from Irish icon Oscar Wilde. The show began with a poem by Ireland native William Butler Yeats: “Faeries come take me out of this dull world, For I would ride with you upon the wind.” To give the audience the feel of a girl running through the meadow, makeup artists Kevyn Aucoin and Deanna Melluso painted the models’ faces with green eye shadow and red blush while their hair (effortlessly styled by Redken) was in a slightly unkempt, lower braid.
Key Pieces: Long-sleeved dresses featuring high-collars and a kaleidoscope of stained glass window prints. Colorful separates with vivid tartan patterns and lace detailing. Plaid coats with fur lining. A-line skirts layered over straight-leg satin trousers and over-the-ankle socks.
Who We Could See Wearing This Collection: Sienna Miller, Kirsten Dunst, Kerry Washington, Solange Knowles, Emmy Rossum, Rashida Jones.
Which looks are you clamoring over? I’m loving the mixed print separates!
Keeping It Fashionable,
Glamazon Briea
