The Secret Of The Universe Is Now In My Makeup Bag (Thanks, Bobbi Brown!)

OK, you probably just read that headline and are now scratching your head like “HUH?!” Yes, you probably realize that there’s always some type of universal secret situation that I speak of but why in the heck would Bobbi Brown bestow ME of all people with it?! Well, read on and I’ll tell you everything….even how you can get your very own “secret!”

 

So, of course it all began with an invitation to come over to Bobbi Brown’s SOHO office and (you guessed it!) get the scoop on her newest beauty products. The best part about this event (besides the fact that it was really laid back and the presentation was short and sweet) was that each blogger in attendance received a mini-makeover and a professional photograph afterwards! Amaze.

But back to The Secret Of The Universe: it’s Bobbi Brown’s new Corrector & Creamy Concealer! While these products aren’t really “new” in the sense that they never existed before (what makeup artist doesn’t have concealer in their makeup line?!) they are re-formulated (which makes it “new” to all of us right now). Now, each product contains an extra creamy texture that feels moisturizing (not greasy) so it glides on easy with a concealer brush or your fingers. Dark circles, lines and wrinkles disappear! What’s most impressive about this stuff is that there are tons of shades (from Porcelain to Chestnut) so you’re sure to find a shade that matches best.

 

Here’s how the system works: you first apply the Corrector (that’s it, pictured above). Each is pink or peach toned and it may seem like it won’t blend in with your skin tone, but trust me when I say it will look perfect by the end. This step helps to brighten and neutralize and the purple and green tones of under eye circles. Then, you apply the Creamy Concealer to lighten and blend the under eye area with the rest of the face. Since I’m fairly fair-skinned, my makeup artist used the Peach Corrector. For the Creamy Concealer, she used Warm Natural.

(Side note: please don’t judge me too harshly as I was experiencing a pretty epic bad hair day due to the fact that I was too tired that day to really be bothered with styling my shag haircut as I should have. Also, we won’t even go into the topic of my hellacious eyebrows! Luckily I was able to get them done the next day..whew!)
