NY Fashion Week is here, and with it comes backstage beauty coverage highlighting fresh faces and a forecast of the season’s fashion and beauty inspirations. In the spirit of using designers as muses, cosmetics brand known for its lipstick and lipgloss, FSL Cosmetics has launched three limited edition lipgloss colors.
The signature shades are inspired by three up-and-coming celebrity designer brands that are making waves in the fashion industry. House of Versatile Styles is the flavor behind the berry-inspired shade Purple Godess. Dipped in Luxe, a gold shade, was inspired by Laureluxe, and Infatuation, a warm orange color used Stevie Boi as muse.
Here’s what FSL owner and Lead Cosmetic Chemist Kimberly Riley had to say about the collection:
“Each of these designers are super talented. Since I was already going to be a sponsor for their shows, I wanted to do something different– something I haven’t seen other beauty brands do before,†she said. “I actually created a plethora of colors for the designers based on the line they will be debuting for New York Fashion Week. Each designer chose the color that best fit his/her brand and collection, then I made it happen.”
Models at each of the runway shows will have pouts that are glossed with the designer’s signature color and guests will receive a free mini lip gloss in that shade. (Definitely an added bonus!) No worries if you’re unable to attend the shows: each of the glosses in the NYFW Limited Edition collection are available for $15 each at fslcosmetics.com.
These shades are warm, shimmery and just plain pretty. As a firm believer that F&B (fashion and beauty) go together like manis and pedis, I’m loving the collaboration of these creative forces. Is it just me, or does it seem like this year’s NYFW beauty radar will be buzzing with product and store launches galore?
What do you think, Glamazons? Are you inspired by these designer-as-muse lip gloss shades?
Ciao Bellas,
Glamazon Margo
