Glamazons,
There are several different kinds of celebrity sightings at New York Fashion Week. There’s the celeb that is sitting by themselves in the front row before a show, almost ignored, that you can walk up to and have a full on conversation with. There’s the star that draws a crowd of screaming photographers, editors with tape recorders and camera crews, creating a brief yet contained frenzy before the show starts. And then, there’s the Kardashians.

The mania that ensued when Kourtney Kardashian walked through the Alice and Olivia presentation was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. My unassuming friend, Faith, and I walked into the venue at the exact time an avalanche of fans, editors, reporters, the #KUWTK camera crew, bodyguards and handlers came swarming toward us.
Faith still managing to give face after all that chaos!
Considering we were just walking into the show, we barely had time to get our bearings about us before just narrowly ditching the onslaught. Some aggressive big guys in black yelled at us to get out of the way, well-dressed girls with camera phones pushed past us, and the whole time we’re thinking “what’s happening?!” We looked up and got our answer: Kourtney Kardashian is here.
Not only did she look impeccable in a silk jumpsuit and bright lip, she had the remarkable ability to remain oblivious to the circus she was causing (Kendall and Kylie Jenner were just as unbothered when I had to interview them amongst a sea of screaming fans. Ironically, I met Kim before she was as famous as she is now, at Rachel Roy‘s show, and she was then in the category of celebs who go pretty much ignored in the front row. Imagine that).
For the rest of our time at the presentation, Faith and I had to check out the (abandoned) clothes while dodging the stream of people flanking Kourtney. It was so hilarious to see Faith snap a photo of a model on her iPhone while everyone else’s phone was held high in the sky for a chance to catch a picture of Kourtney. Because who cares about the clothes when there’s a Kardashian in our midst?!

No shade because I’d probably be the same way if Stevie Wonder, Nas or Jesus showed up at a show but the frenzy was distracting to say the least. When we left, we ended up walking right past two celebrities who slipped in, unnoticed, with no security, publicists or paparazzi in sight. “That’s Paris and Nicky Hilton,” Faith said casually. The irony.
Celebrity-induced chaos aside, the clothes were a sight worth seeing. Here’s the scoop!
Inspiration: Stacey Bendet tells Vogue that her third pregnancy led her to the desert and earth mothers for inspiration. The collection that materialized pays homage to all things Bohemian, embroidered, fringed and flouncy.
Key Pieces: Embroidered jeans, off-the-shoulder peasant dresses, extreme wideleg pants, floral ball skirts with fringe hems, sheer ruffle high-low gowns, patchwork denim high-waisted skirts, black and white striped suits, delicately embellished white pants, gold knee-high gladiator sandals.
Who I Could See Wearing The Collection: Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Lauren Conrad, Joy Bryant, Taylor Swift, Tika Sumpter, The Hilton sisters and duh, Kourtney Kardashian.

What do you think of Alice and Olivia’s Spring 2016 collection, Glamazons?
And P.S. I was too excited to wear the Alice and Olivia pumps I first saw at this presentation to this year’s show. Does that make me basic?
Just kidding. I could never be basic.
Kisses,
