Hey Glamazons! We’re back with more backstage beauty from NYFW! This time around we’re gushing over the loose braids models rocked at the Alberta Ferretti Summer 2014 runway show.
The purposely messy look was styled by Redken Creative Consultant Guido. Instead of using hairspray, he applied the Redken guts 10 root targeted volume spray foam to create texture and volume before loosely braiding the hair. He used a curling iron around the hairline for additional volume.
Here’s what Guido had to say about the look:
“The messy structure of the braid resembles a hairstyle one might imagine a peasant girl wearing during the Renaissance. While the look itself is quite simply, the style is soft and very romantic.”
Here’s how to recreate this whimsical look for yourself!
