5 Fab Foundations To Try Now

Hey Glamazons! When it comes to wearing makeup, I’ll go ahead and confess here that I’ve seriously fallen off the wagon. My hectic #momlife makes it kind of hard to beat my face like I used to do back in the day, so I’ve started to rely heavily on foundation. I’d never really worn it before because I’m so into my skincare regimen (and thank Jesus I have been for the past 10+ years because it looks and feels so good!) but there are still some little areas (such as under my eyes) that I like to look bright and refreshed. I don’t wear tons of foundation and only add it where it’s needed. But, when I do wear it, I want it to look good. Here are 5 that I’ve currently got in heavy rotation.

1. Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation SPF 40

Just as the name of this product hints, this foundation hugs your skin like a serum, but also gives great coverage. It leaves your skin feeling hydrated and radiant upon application. Some of its key ingredients include:

-Cordyceps Mushroom Extract: Replenishes skin cells with energy for optimal function that, over time, makes skin look less tired, brighter and feel smoother and plumper

-Bamboo Grass Extract: Targets dullness and uneven skin tone to enhance skin’s radiance, clarity and luminosity

-Algae Extract: Reduces unwanted shine and tightens pores over time for healthier, more naturally glowing skin

-Lychee, Watermelon & Apple Extracts: Hydrates skin and boosts its natural moisture levels for instant plumping, smoothing and refreshing

-Acetyl Hexapeptide 8: Peptide technology that helps to stimulate natural collagen production to help smooth away fine lines and wrinkles for skin that’s visible firmer and more lifted

-Natural deep sea ferment: Helps to replenish essential lipids and fill in gaps that occur in the skin’s barrier to help strengthen and prevent moisture from escaping

When using, shake bottle well and blend into your skin with fingers or a makeup sponge for best application.

2. Lancome Miracle Cushion

I will admit that when I first opened this compact, I was kind of skeptical that it would deliver flawless foundation coverage. But, it’s KIND OF amazing. Call me a nerd, but I loved using the little puff to pat the foundation into my skin. You can pat on a little or a lot to deepen coverage. It feels refreshing upon application and I like to use this for a sheer, everyday look. Also, the compact makes it easy to whip out of your bag for quick touch-ups throughout the day.

3. bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream

My skin loves this stuff! It’s like a tinted moisturizer wrapped up into a BB Cream that meets a CC Cream. It’s great for everyday wear because it leaves a nice, lightweight finish. Ingredients include:

-Mineral electrolytes: To energize skin

-Marine botanicals: Helps replenish dry skin

-Heart-Leaf Globe Daisy: An antioxidant that aids in helping to protect against environmental stressors

To apply, use fingers or you can invest the extra money in the bareMinerals Smoothing Face Brush (which I also love!)

4. Becca Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation

If matte makeup is your thing, this is one that you need to have in your beauty arsenal. This creamy foundation helps to control shine throughout the day thanks to its unique micro-fine powder that absorbs oils in your complexion. It also minimized the appearance of pores and fines lines to create a lasting soft-focus effect.

5. SEPHORA Collection Teint Infusion Foundation

I’ve never used any of the foundations from the SEPHORA brand but this one has changed my mind! It’s just as good as the super expensive Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ($62!). It’s a super lightweight serum foundation that melts right into your skin upon application and gives you that flawless, airbrushed look all day long.

Have you tried any of these, Glamazons? If so, what did you think?

xoxo
