Glamazons,

From the moment New York Fashion Week started, I have been waiting for that one collection to just blow me away and Carolina Herrera Fall 2015 did just that! True to the brand’s ladylike aesthetic, models descended upon the runway in exquisite gowns uplifted by bold prints. Front row guests Dianna Agron, Coco Rocha and Olivia Palermo watched as models, including Karlie Kloss who opened and closed the show, floated by in waves of black, blue, gray and a splash of red.

Here Are The Deets on Carolina Herrera’s Fall 2015 Collection:

Inspiration: Inspired by the movement of water, Carolina Herrera wanted to explore the fluidity of fabric. Sharing backstage, Carolina said: “Everything you see here is making waves. Color and shape and movement, the little bouncing skirts. Water has so many situations, no? The collection is based on anything that has to do with water. Like the rain, ocean waves, the lake, the rivers.” The flowing pieces indeed channeled the water with multi-dimensional prints and an oceanic palette.

Beauty: To give models a flawless complexion, SK-II applied Facial Treatment Masks to model’s skin to make it more supple and translucent. They smoothed the skin to fit the curves of the face, left it on for 10 minutes and massage excess liquid into the skin for a glowing look.

Diane Kendal for MAC Cosmetics applied black liner and false eyelashes with silver glitter to make the models appear as if they had water droplets on them, and paired MAC Cosmetics ‘Oh Lady’ fuchsia lipstick for edgy elegance.

Michelle Saunders for Essie created two nail looks, one with a deep red hue to match the fabrics and another with a sheen that glistened on the runway as a nod to the collection’s water theme. On the mix of various tones, Michelle said: “Allure is Carolina’s favorite Essie color, so we always try to work it in somehow, and the other colors complement the dramatic makeup.

Orlando Pita for TRESemme slicked models’ hair into ponytails for a refined look. TRESemme hair spray complemented the show’s theme, giving a wet appearance. He said: “I’ve enjoyed reworking the simple pony a few times this season and our wrapped version at Carolina Herrera is an easy update to bring a little more drama to an evening look. The tight shape highlights the nape of your neck in a way that is subtly sexy.”

Recreate the look with these steps:

1. Start by washing your hair using TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Infusing Shampoo and Conditioner and towel dry.
Work in the TRESemmé Runway Collection Get Sleek Blow Dry Balm from root to tip and dry hair straight back with no part using a soft bristle brush.
2. Layer in TRESemmé TRES Two Extra Firm Control Gel from the roots to mid lengths
3. Comb the hair back into a low pony at the nape of the neck and secure with a thin elastic. Starting from about two inches away from the elastic tightly weave ribbon, or a thin strip of leather, around the pony, securing with a small knot behind the elastic.
4. Finish the look by spraying TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Frizz-Free Hairspray for extra hold. For extra shine, layer more TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Infusing Smoothing Serum onto the lengths of the pony

This collection is so glamorous! What do you think of these pieces?
