My New Cute Mani: Coca-Cola x OPI #OPICokeStyle

You remember how excited I got about the Coca-Cola x OPI collection? Well, imagine my delight when I got an invite to check out the polishes and get a complimentary mani. Jackpot!

I headed to midtown Manhattan for the event and as soon as I stepped off the elevator, I fell in love with the decor. There was a pop art wall with a Coca Cola bottle that reminded me of ads from the 1950s (no doubt a testament to how iconic the brand is). I just love pop art so I had to get a picture in front of the wall (and total coincidence that I was matching it! LOL):

Boom! As it turns out, the pop art inspired my manicure. The kind folks at Coca-Cola and OPI let us choose nail art from polka dots to stripes. I got “Coca-Cola Classic Red” (inspired by Classic Coke) with silver “My Signature is DC” dots on top (inspired by Diet Coke):

The nail technician and I couldn’t help but gush over the Classic Red color. I never usually get red nail polish but there’s something about the Coca-Cola red! It’s a bit deeper than your usual bright red but still bold and rich. I’m obsessed!

After manis, I enjoyed a selection of macaroons inspired by the collection (loved the chocolate with red sugar sprinkled on top) and small bites. Everything was delish.

And we had our pick of champagne or classic and Diet Coke in these cool bottles:

Though it was love at first sight for the Coca-Cola red, there are so many cool colors in this collection! There’s the classic red for Coca-Cola and metallic silver for Diet Coke (that I chose for my mani) and also dark red and black for Coke Zero, black cherry for Cherry Coke, cream and warm pink for Vanilla Coke, shimmering citrus green for Sprite and bright orange and deep purple for Fanta Orange and Fanta Grape.

The Coca-Cola for OPI collection will be available in stores and online starting June 2014 and it will come in both nail lacquer and GelColor formulas. Each nail lacquer shade features OPI’s exclusive ProWideTM Brush for easy application. They retail for $9 each and will be available here. If you want GelColor, you can just request it at the salon.

Oh! And they’re also releasing the Coca-Cola 10 Pack of Style set ($24.95) which will feature eight shades in mini-bottles (Coca-Cola Red, You’re So Vain-illa, Sorry I’m Fizzy Today, Get Cherried Away, My Signature is “DC”, Today I Accomplished Zero, Green on the Runway and A Grape Affair) plus a mini OPI Top Coat and a mini OPI Original Nail Envy strengthener.

I’m planning to get “You’re So Vain-illa” next maybe with stripe nail art. Cute, right? Which shade do you have your eye on? Tell me in the comments.
