Just a day after announcing he’s the next designer to collaborate with Kohl’s for an affordable capsule collection (more on that later!), Peter Som debuted his spring line at Milk Studios this morning. The scene was filled with industry insiders and fashion IT girls, but it was Som’s collection that had everyone talking.
Inspiration:
Vivid colors and beach inspired prints provide the back drop for Peter Som’s Spring Collection. The American designer drew from beach influences, which can be seen in the touches of blue and the ocean infused patterns. Unfinished edges on shorts and jackets gave this collection some rawness. The added edginess balanced out the bohemian vibe.
Details:
Water color bikinis paired with tuxedo jackets, floral print skirts, black and white striped midriff tops, tweed cropped jackets, wave printed sweaters, chambray shirts, snakeskin coats, white –button down blouses, kaleidoscope printed coats, and cocktail dresses.
