What I Wore: DKNY Leather and Wool Sweater from TJ Maxx, H&M Print Dress and Aldo Red Platforms

Glamazons,

You know better than anyone else that I have a taste for beautiful, luxurious fashion but I hate, like detest, spending my rent money on one item of clothing.

Even if the piece is glamazing, you still walk out of the store feeling like you need an emergency therapy session with Iyanla Vanzant followed by a financial makeover from Suze Orman (clearly, I watch too much OWN). Anyway, no shopping experience should be like that and that’s why I’ve found a new haven in T.J. Maxx.

I know what you’re thinking, do they really have cute stuff?

They do!

I almost never hit up the mass retailer until I received a gift card from them as part of a blogger outreach program. Even when I entered the store, I was still hesitant.

Until I started sorting through the racks and spotted high-end designer jewel after designer jewel. A Calvin Klein orange maxi dress (that I can’t wait to wear when the weather gets warm!), a Cynthia Rowley sparkly tweed jacket and my all-time favorite a DKNY leather and knit sweater that just screams downtown cool.

The DKNY sweater retails for $300. I got the only T.J. Maxx score, and only paid $40. Yes, you read that right.

I snapped the tag because I knew you wouldn’t believe me:

See? $300 and I paid 40 bucks.

You can grab a designer piece for up to 60% less than the original price. Yes, you have to dig but it is more than worth it when you find that one luxurious gem that costs next to nothing.

It felt amazing to finally shop without the guilt (and the broke two weeks that follow…sigh).

And the sweater’s so beautiful! It has warm, cozy wool sleeves and a leather waterfall design which I lurve.

I dressed it up by pairing it with an H&M bodycon black and white printed dress and red heel-less platforms I picked up from Aldo on Black Friday.

And I had to do a red lippie (yassss!) so I went with MAC Ruby Woo and Mattese Elite Promiscuous. Owww!

What do you think of my look, Glamazons? Would you shop at T.J. Maxx for a designer steal?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
