Hey Glamazons! I hope that all of you are doing well on this super sunny (yet still freezing smh) Monday. While I am experiencing one of the worst colds in America (UGH) I can honestly say that my hair looks fab; and not because I’ve actually really styled it amazingly or anything. I use the word “fab” to say that my natural strands are touchably soft and smooth thanks to these awesome new haircare products I’ve gotten my hands on from Motions. I’ve been using them for awhile now and am pleasantly surprised to report that they really do what they claim to!
In order to get more of the scoop on this line, myself and Glamazon Jessica attended a fun luncheon last week at the Mondrian SoHo that the brand hosted along with our celebrity hairstylist fave Ursula Stephen. There were reps present from Motions who went through each product in the Naturally You! line to tell us a bit more about why each was created. As you know, Glamazon Jessica and I are both naturalistas (meaning that we don’t use relaxers in our hair) so these products are right up our alley!
There’s the Moisturizing Cleanser, Smoothing Conditioner, Deep Conditioning Masque, Radiating Gloss and Hydrate My Curls Pudding. Each of the products contain good-for-your-strands ingredients such as Shea Butter, Coconut & Avocado Oils so each could technically be used on relaxed hair as well (since each product is so hydrating). Ursula went through each product and gave us fun tips on how each can be used. For example, she said that she likes to use the Smoothing Conditioner as a leave-in treatment to treat dry, damaged hair. She also encouraged the use of the Hydrate My Curls Pudding as a great moisturizer to create two-strand twists.
There were manicure/hand massage stations at the event, so you know Jess and I had to partake in the action!
