Last Friday, I went to a luncheon. Yawn, right?! But, this wasn’t just any luncheon: it was the Cosmetic Executive Women’s 17th Annual Beauty Awards which makes it so much more fun! Each year, CEW meets to announce their picks for the best beauty products in the biz. (And, for those of you that don’t know, CEW is composed of professionals working in the beauty industry, so the awards aren’t given lightly.) While the lunch itself at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel is not even close to being exciting, no one really comes to eat (which is a good thing too because they always serve this gross, cold chicken).
In addition to these great beauty product awards, there now are all sorts of B-D list celebs on hand to announce the winners. Kim Kardashian was there last year, but this year there was only her BFF Lala Anthony looking strangely just like her! (I figure this means that she must be coming out with some sort of fragrance or line of beauty products or something.)
