Glamazons,

I can’t believe it’s Thanksgiving season already. I feel like I was just heading to the beach in the summer, then pushing myself through Fashion Week (and hours standing in the sun at the Yeezy show), then frantically coming up with a Halloween costume. The days are flying by. Nonetheless, the one thing that keeps me excited about Thanksgiving — besides apple pie, mac and cheese, turkey, ribs and the like — is the chance to truly enjoy my family and friends (and Black Friday shopping but that’s a whole ‘nother post). I LOVE my family and don’t get to see them enough with all our busy schedules during the week. I also love to cook and set up place settings and all that corny, Pinterest-y stuff because it reminds me of my grandmother, and Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. It’s a tradition that I want to keep alive in her memory.

With everything I usually have going on, I rarely have the time to plan out a special outfit — but at the same time, I don’t necessarily want to show up in sweats and look a hot mess, when people bring guests and take all the pictures. So, I always grab a fit-and-flare dress. It looks presentable, it gives me a cinched waist (this dress has built-in cinching, no waist training necessary) and it flares out just enough to cover my food belly lol. It’s actually my #1 wardrobe secret, because I wear it all the time so I can look pulled together and still feel comfortable — major key. What are you guys wearing for Thanksgiving? Are you hosting any Friendsgiving or family dinners? I need all the tips to get my house ready this year. Let’s chat in the comments.

Dress: Kate Spade (also love this one) | Pumps: Cole Haan | Bag: Similar | Lip Stain: Sephora

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
