Ask The Glamazons: What To Wear To Beyoncé’s #FormationWorldTour
In case you didn’t already know, I have a huge obsession with Beyonce. Growing up, she was my best friend in my head and not much has changed since. Her killer work ethic, the way she slays the music scene AND how she reinvents herself time and time again?! She’s #blackgirlmagic personified. So when it was announced that the Formation World Tour would be making its first stop in Miami, I was beyond excited! I cleared my entire schedule for King Bey and was so glad I did because the show was amazing.
The fun consisted of posing for snaps with the Beyhive and shouting Lemonade lyrics while standing in line. I sang so loudly, in fact, that my throat is still sore. AND I danced as if I were an undiscovered background dancer (don’t judge me). I was on cloud nine and it ended up being the best night ever.
So, when a Glamazon reader reached out for tips on how to dress for the concert of the summer, of course, I was more than happy to oblige!
If you’re thinking of hitting up Bey’s show or already bought tickets, check out a few looks for every style I’m sure you’ll love:
I’m all about mixing pieces that are comfy with a bit of an edge. That’s why my go-to look for the concert featured a chambray shirt layered over a graphic crop top and leather skirt. A clutch with a wrist handle is perfect for keeping your valuables secure.
Go casual in a pair of distressed skinny jeans and a bomber jacket. Add accents like a baseball cap and gold statement necklace to keep the look simple yet stylish. And since you’ll be standing (or dancing) the majority of the time, trade in your pumps for a pair of comfy creepers.
Tap into your inner ‘Yonce with a Formation-inspired ensemble. Recreate the look with a long black lace dress. Ankle boots and silver statement jewels serve as glam add-ons while a dark lip will give you a bit of edge.
There’s no better way to keep all eyes on you than with a chic colorblocked look. Opt for a vibrant pair of shorts with an equally bold blazer. Take things up a notch with some gladiator heels and a metallic clutch.
