Win a $50 @Sears Gift Card! #BringTheSleigh #Ad

Glamazons,

Holiday shopping is truly not as easy as it looks. Even if you save up money ahead of time (like I did), you still can can feel overwhelmed with gifting all of the people on your list. It adds up so quickly! Instead of letting it stress me out, I try to think strategically about how I can make holiday shopping easier. And believe it or not, I’ve found a way to get through the last minute rush with my sanity intact. Here are 5 tried-and-true tips!

1. Look for one-stop shops.

There’s nothing worse than running around from store to store on the days leading up to Christmas eve. The horror! Look for stores that sell multiple items from clothes to appliances so you can do the bulk of your Christmas shopping in one place. I love picking up tech gifts for my Dad from Sears then heading to the kids section to shop for my niece. It cuts my holiday shopping time in half!

2. Take advantage of special retail services.

Long gone are the days when you ordered a Christmas gift online or via an app at the last minute, and spent the next days on pins and needles wondering if it’ll ever ship to your house in time! Sears offers special services where you can buy items on their app and pick them up at a store in five minutes or less — without even leaving your vehicle. You read that right. It’s called In-Vehicle Pickup, Return and Exchange and I used it to buy my best friend (above) his Christmas gift. It worked like a charm. They also offer Anyone, Anywhere Pickup where you can order gifts on Sears.com and have anyone head to the store to pick it up. Shopping is more convenient than ever these days so be sure to take advantages of cool opportunities like this one.

3. Mobile apps are your best friend.

Speaking of apps, I have a (short) story to tell. I grew up in Jersey and I was a total mall rat until a couple years ago. At that time, I discovered mobile shopping, and I never looked back. What’s more convenient than picking out the items you want, clicking a few links and *viola* it’s yours? You can find the product you want, compare items, read user reviews (which I LOVE to do) and track your orders all from your smartphone. Well, alongside my newfound love for apps, I discovered you can get all kinds of perks by downloading your favorite store’s app. Sears offers $5 in points toward purchases of $15 or more for Shop Your Way Members who refresh the app or new members who download it. Saving money just by downloading an app? Sign. Me. Up.

4. Seek out special holiday deals.

Okay so just like I detest crowds, I love a good holiday deal. Sears.com has last-minute shopping sales on 12/18 and 12/19 from 8AM-1PM and more last-minute deals continuing from 12/20 up until 12/24. I’m happy to save money wherever I can so holiday deals are always a plus in my book.

5. Avoid crowds at all costs.

Guys. Seriously. I cannot stand crowds ever but especially before the holidays. Shopping at a crowded mall is literally my worst nightmare. I’m so happy to bypass the hassle of battling crowds this year by shopping online and through the mobile app. I don’t have to compete for the last appliance on the shelf, or wait in horrifying long lines at the register just to check out and go home. I did all of my holiday shopping online or via apps this year, and I intend to keep it that way. Not only can you take advantage of sales, but you can preserve your sanity. What’s more important than that?

I hope these tips help, Glamazons! And to make your shopping experience even easier, I’m giving away a $50 gift card to Sears! Fill out the code below to enter.

My best last minute shopping tip is to go with amazon prime that offers 2 day shipping. If there is not enough time for that, then gift cards are a great option for everyone!

My tip is to go shopping early in the morning to try to avoid crowds and look for sales that a lot of stores have as it gets closer to Christmas.

Don’t settle. If you can’t find something that the person will like, give them a gift card to a store that you know they shop at. No reason to buy something you know they won’t like just so you have something to give.

I am all for getting gift cards; however, I like to be creative with the packaging. Something that is meaningful and lets them know you did more than just get a gift card like create a mason jar full of flowers or candy, etc..
