Hey Glamazons! There’s nothing that I love more than a good book. Alright, I’ll go ahead and be honest here and say that I specifically love a good chick lit book. It’s great to escape to the beach and read, but for now, I’ll be happy just lounging on my front porch and drinking sweet tea. (Yes, I’m totally Southern hahaha)
I was super psyched to get my hands on the newest book from one of my favorite authors, Emily Liebert. It’s called Those Secrets We Keep ($15) and boy is it juicy! It’s all about three women who go on a girls-only vacation to a lake house and how each of them comes to terms with life secrets they’ve been keeping from each other. The main character is Sloane. She has the perfect life on the surface. But, after sister dies from cancer, she begins to spiral into depression and begin to feel as though a big something is missing from her life. Then there’s Sloan’s friend Hillary. She has a successful career and a solid marriage but hasn’t been able to conceive a child. Spoiler alert: You will be fairly stunned by the reason why! Last is Sloane’s best friend from college, Georgina. She’s a wild child who loves to travel and has no plans on settling down anytime soon with anyone for anything. She loves to have fun and decides to tag along after Sloane casually mentions that she and Hillary will be going to the lake house. Little does Sloane know that she’s doing so to avoid a big secret of her own.
