Glamazons,

I guess it’s safe to say I have a thing for music festivals. I’ve been obsessed with Essence Fest for years now and in 2015 alone, I’ve went to Jazz Fest and now Governor’s Ball. Yes, they can be a hot muddy mess but the music, fashion and energy truly makes up for it and more. Governor’s Ball was especially a treat because I went with Dove and got to hang out in their cabana all day. Glamazons, from the plush white furniture to the unlimited food and drinks to the unbelievable view of the stage, the cabana was so luxurious I wanted to curl up and spend the night there — I kid you not. Way more on this later.

For now, let me disclose that I had a bit of a struggle coming up with an outfit for Governor’s Ball — I mean, it was freezing. I figured a long sleeve crop top, combat boots and a wide-brimmed fedora was a good way to look cool and dress for the weather. The legs are the last to go are best at enduring the cold so I ditched leggings. Mirrored-lens shades and some stacked bangles from a Harlem street fair I went to finished the look.

Don’t you know when I got there the cabana was decked out in orange as an ode to the intoxicating mandarin and tiare flower scent of their new Dove go fresh Revitalize Beauty Bar and Body Wash? I’ve been washing with it for the past week and it’s become an instant fave. I’m always partial to body wash that also locks in moisture (they have NutriumMoisture technology for that) but I can’t stand the washes that stink of perfume and are so thick they leave residue. The Dove go fresh Revitalize scent pleases the senses without being overwhelming. Anyway, back to the orange themed decor and my matching look, I took it as a sign the universe was pleased with my [second] attempt at music festival fashion. And I got my nails done to match (thanks Manicare!).

What do you think of my look, Glamazons? What are your go-to music festival pieces? I’d love to chat with you in the comments!

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
