Cushnie Backstage MO (2)

Hey Glamazons! If you’re looking for a fun, new way to rock bobby pins without actually pinning up all of your hair, this is the look for you. We love this cool slicked down look that head hair designer Antonio Corral Calero created using Moroccanoil products. Read on to find out how you can get the look!

Inspiration

The inspiration for the Cushnie et Ochs Fall 2015 show was the view of Earth from outer space. Antonio was inspired by this concept and the contrasting textures found in space so he created a hairstyle that showcases the duality of soft and strong – distinctly different but undeniably connected.

Get The Look

1. Starting with dry hair, lightly mist hair from mid lengths to ends with the Moroccanoil Styling Gel directly to roots while smoothing hair down flat.

2. Create a deep side part and generously apply the Moroccanoil Styling Gel directly to roots while smoothing hair down flat.

3. Comb hair back off the face and tuck behind ears. Secure with bobby pins.

4. Using a large barrel curling iron, create a slight bend at mid-lengths of hair for a loose, piece-y wave. The key is to keep the waves beach-y and soft to contrast the sleek sophistication of the lacquered wet look.

5. For hold and strong division of the two hair textures, geometrically arrange bobby pins around the back of the head from ear to ear.
