TRY THIS: Urban Decay’s NAKED Basics Palettes

Hey Glamazons! Getting naked is always fun, right?!

I’m not really talking about getting entirely undressed, just more like getting naked with your eyeshadow. This is why I feel like it’s my beauty girl duty to let you know about the awesomeness that is the Urban Decay NAKED 2 Basics eyeshadow palette. Now, you may have heard all about the super popular NAKED 1, 2 & 3 palettes (side note: I swear by my NAKED 2 palette!), but there are also two more smaller NAKED palettes in the collection as well.

The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

The NAKED Basics palette ($29) is a collection of 6 matte neutral shades in a cute compact. It’s way smaller than the other NAKED palettes and basically contains everything you need to create a neutral eye.

Obviously, the palette proved to be super popular, so the brand followed up to create the NAKED 2 Basics palette ($29). It’s in the same packaging as the first, however it contains 6 new taupe hued matte neutrals. While I think the first one is great, I love the second one! I’ve been using it non-stop since I got it about a month ago. Being that I have absolutely no time in the morning to do much with my makeup look, it really comes in handy. While it looks like it may be a chalky mess (as most nude eyeshadows are) these go on easy and have a satin finish. I will note, however, that the shades of the second palette look best on those with olive skin tones than the first.

The Urban Decay Naked Basics Double Ended Brush

There’s also a Double-Ended Brush ($20) that I highly recommend you use along with these palettes as well as any other palettes you may have in your makeup arsenal. It’s a full size brush, but has two different brushes on each end which is what makes it so amazing. On one end is the shadow blender brush and on the other is the shadow blender brush. The hair on the brush is made from super-soft synthetic material derived from recycled PBT plastic bottles. All of this basically means that it’s easier to clean (since synthetic brush hair doesn’t hold on to bacteria the way animal hair can) and is cruelty-free. While all of that is great, I personally love it because it cuts my eyeshadow application time in half (no more searching for various makeup brushes for the best application) and fits neatly into my (everyday) makeup bag.

Which NAKED palette is your favorite, Glamazons?

xoxo
