Kate Spade’s Surprise Sale Is Here to Upgrade Your Accessories

Glamazons,

I hope you recovered from Halloween weekend. As you know, I went to Mexico (more on this later) and twirled in my second costume of the holiday: a bunny (flapper was first)! What’d you dress up as? And more importantly, did you have a blast? I hope so. The party didn’t stop with Halloween though: today, I’m heading to the Wendy Williams show with ORS and Afrobella and then dressing up AGAIN for my girl Gorgeous in Grey‘s pop star-themed karaoke birthday party Wednesday. I have a feeling it’s going to be a busy (and exciting) holiday season. Before I hit the road, let’s get into the latest news, shall we?

Boohoo Does a Pop-Up Store

If Boohoo opened a store in the U.S., I’d have a serious problem, Glamazons. I LOVE that store! It’s my go-to to pick up trendy pieces for next-to-nothing that I actually get plenty of wear out of (just ask how many times I’ve worn that dress). The fast fashion retail site recently opened a pop-up shop down the street from me at 462 West Broadway in SoHo. It boasts two floors of Womens and Mens apparel and prices are mostly at $20 and $60. Shoppers can order the clothes from the site via touchscreen and it ships free to the U.S. Excuse me while I head downtown. [Fashionista

SIREN Ring Could Help Save Lives

SIREN-Ring-saves-lives-

Glamazons preventing a possible assault could lie in your hand. Manhattan natives Kat Alexander along with her father Howard Alexander created SIREN, a ring designed to prevent an assault.

The statement rings are plated in 14k yellow gold or sterling silver with a brushed, antique finish, and set with hand-faceted natural gemstones.

The stylish rings, generates a piercing sound when the wearer rotates the top of the ring 60 degrees counterclockwise into the locked position.

Alexander said she created the ring after her own personal safety was put at risk near her college campus. “With SIREN, we wanted to create a resource that empowers women — a beautiful piece of jewelry that offers some peace of mind.”I love the concept and this sudden push to towards women’s safety. The ring retails for $249. [SIREN]

Check back for more updates throughout the week.

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
