Outfit of the Day: What To Wear To New York Fashion Week and Still Be Taken Seriously #NYFW

Glamazons,

New York Fashion Week dressing presents an interesting conundrum for me. Yes, I want to be a little fearless and have fun getting dressed up in the bold clothing and accessory I never get to wear on, say, Hump Day at the office. But I still need something functional enough that I can easily maneuver backstage while interviewing designers and makeup artists without stumbling in my heels, or sit in my seat at Fashion Shows without blocking attendees behind me. How do you choose an outfit that makes sense for the busiest time in your work year but is still Street Style-worthy?

When I first started going to Fashion Week so many seasons ago, the dress code was all black. Glamazon Andrea and I would get dressed up in a black dress (obvs, me) and black long sleeve top and pants (her) and some killer heels (me in Christian Louboutin, her in then-YSL) and we were set. It was the unofficial Fashion Week editor uniform. These days, I’ve learned to adapt with the times and spice up my former all black ensemble with the boldest colors I can find (hello, neon) and a few trendy accessories.

Get into it:

It’s my go-to look for showing a little personality without trying too hard! What do you think of it?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
