Glamazons,

When I first saw the commercial for Fox Studio‘s “The Other Woman,” I knew I’d love the film! The premise of three women banding together to exact revenge on a cheating ex immediately won me over. I mean, is there any better plotline?! After catching a pre-screening of the movie at The Crosby Street Hotel in downtown Manhattan, I ended up liking the film even more than I expected. Seriously, this is now one of my favorites!

Here are 3 reasons why I loved “The Other Woman”:

1. It’s all about sisterhood, but not in a cheesy way.

One of my favorite parts in the film was when Carly (played by Cameron Diaz) tells Kate (Leslie Mann) that they should direct their anger toward the man who lied to them instead of each other.

Too often, women antagonize each other when really, they’ve been equally wronged. You couldn’t help but cheer for all three women (including Amber, played by Kate Upton) as they proved we’re much stronger as a unified front. I’ve actually seen this happen in real life with my friend’s sister wife, and I can attest that nothing bonds two women like taking down a man who did them both wrong.

2. It’s hilarious.

I wasn’t expecting this film to be funny (I thought it’s greatest draw was the girl power angle) but after the first scene when Kate and Carly collide, I was pleasantly surprised (Leslie Mann is such a natural that every line she says is funny!). The two played off each other brilliantly as did Carly and Lydia (Nicki Minaj). In my opinion, Nicki was the breakout star of this film thanks to her hilarious lines and impeccable comedic timing. At the (glorious) ending, she even steals the spotlight from her co-stars with her funny facial expressions and sassy quips. I look forward to seeing more roles from her in the future!

3. The fashion is brilliant.

And if the plot and comedic delivery don’t win you over, the fashion sure will. Wardrobe stylist extraordinaire Patricia Field of “Sex and The City” fame lent her magic to “The Other Woman.”

She dressed Cameron Diaz‘s character Carly impeccably well, making the high-powered attorney’s wardrobe come alive with tailored white blazers, a glorious backless white mini and a black dress accented by gold strappy sandals. Every look was styled to perfection!

Patricia nailed Leslie Mann‘s character, Kate, the demure housewife, in feminine printed sheath or A-line dresses, pearls and ballet flats. Loved this printed dress with a sheer neckline and fit-and-flare silhouette! Just gorgeous.

And even the younger sexy trophy mistress, Amber, made quite the splash in a white bikini, low-cut tank tops and barely-there shorts that flattered her famous curves.

It’s truly remarkable how Patricia Field can capture different points-of-view from housewife to sex symbol to lawyer yet make them all polished, stylish and memorable.

She shed some light on her process during a Q&A after the screening! Check out a quick video I took on my iPhone below:

And did I mention we officially met?! After following her career for years (and even interviewing her once for Juicy Magazine), I finally got to meet Patricia Field in person! We had a hilarious five second conversation in which I explained C.P. Time to her (she mentioned that it’s probably the same as Greek time) and we snapped this amazing picture together:

I love her spunky personality! She is also endearingly humble, telling the crowd she was proud to make it to “our generation of bloggers.” We erupted in applause since so many of us were inspired by her work with Carrie Bradshaw. Carrie‘s tutu is so iconic bloggers recreate the look to this very day, and that’s a testament to Patricia‘s vision and extraordinary talent.

Here are a couple more pictures from the fab screening:
