I have to be honest: I’ve been cringing at the way “Scandal” is hiding Kerry Washington‘s baby bump. What I wouldn’t give for her to twirl in a flowing chiffon maxi dress! But alas, they can never put Olivia Carolyn Pope in that because it doesn’t fit with her character and the story. Le sigh.
Anyway, this issue made me a little hesitant to run down the fashion recaps after every episode (I have to write about what I love on here after a promise I made to myself) but I did see something pretty spectacular last night in the midst of all the impending bombs, #HuckleberryQuinn hook-ups and love triangles (Quinn, Mama Pope, Mellie and Liv are each in one!). And that spectacular thing was Olivia Pope‘s Escada Spring 2014 coat.
Olivia went to work finding the bomb and protecting Fitz in an Escada Spring 2014 ‘Cathy’ coat with a black and white degradé effect and flared sleeves:

P.S. What did you think of that episode? My mouth dropped when (spoiler) #JakeBae revealed that Olivia slept with him in front of Fitz and pretty much stayed on the floor for the duration of the show. Prayers up for Eli. And Cyrus is cold as ice!
