What I Wore: Kisses from Tobago #CaribbeanCrawl

I’m overseas for #CaribbeanCrawl, which starts in Trinidad for Carnival weekend and then ends in Barbados for some rest and relaxation. Though it wasn’t planned, Danielle of Style and Beauty Doctor and I decided to steal a couple days on the beach in Tobago before the Bacchanal festivities start.

We hopped on a half-hour plane ride on Caribbean Airlines from Trinidad (you can also take a boat ride over — but those tend to get full after Carnival) and arrived in a land so beautiful it doesn’t even look real. It’s like a postcard! There’s so much to love on Trinidad’s sister island from the teal waters to the lush greenery to the endless sunshine.

I’m staying at the beautiful Tranquil Guest House:

The owner, Norma, is super friendly and accomodating. And it’s a short distance from the beach, supermarket and a string of bars and restaurants.

Since I am in LOVE with this island, I decided to wear a lip print crop top from H&M to grab dinner and lime at a bar near the beach.

The lip, or kiss, print is having a moment, Glamazons (you may have spotted it in our Valentine’s Day fashion post) and it’s feminine, cheeky and fun, which means I’m already a fan. Grownup pieces like a crop top, one shoulder blouse or sweatshirt makes the print seem a little more mature, but still playful.

So about Tobago, it has my heart:

My stay in Tobago was one of the moments that just make me feel blessed to be alive. The land, the culture, the food, the music is all so beautiful!
