I’ve done Fashion Week a couple times so it’s rare that a model’s makeup is so beautiful it literally stops me in my tracks. But that’s precisely what happened when I saw the spellbinding images of models backstage at Desigual.
Of course, MAC Cosmetics is behind the brilliant makeup and nails, and I got the scoop on how they created this dazzling look.

Desigual Backstage Makeup:
Inspiration: “Pretty faces,” said key artist Gordon Espinet. “Girls looking like girls.”
Get The Look:
Face
1. Sweep MAC Cosmetics Medium Studio Sculpt powder (available Fall/Winter 2014) over the face.
2. Softly apply MAC Cosmetics Fun Ending powder blush (available Fall/Winter 2014) over the cheeks to create a girly flush of color.
Eyes
1. Mix MAC Pro Gold Metal pigment with MAC Pro Glass texture to create a liquid gold then apply it over the eyelid in beautiful, painterly strokes.
2. Apply MAC Pro Gold glitter through the center of the lid for a pop of gold sparkle.
Lips
1. Apply MAC Cosmetics Obviously Bare lip glass (available Fall/Winter 2014) to the lips to create a cool, glossy tone and texture.

Here’s the tea on the nails!
Desigual Backstage Nails:
Inspiration: Senior artist and friend to The Glamazons, Keri Blair says “Gold reign over me: romantic, sweet, warm and cozy.”
Get The Look:
1. Paint MAC Cosmetics Screaming Bright nail lacquer as the base on a round, short nail.
2. Apply MAC Cosmetics Gold Leafing over the nail to create the illusion of raining onto the nail and catching on each tip to craft a metallic French manicure.
