Glamazons,

Get into 2014! I hope your year is starting off glamazingly well and you’re armed with a fresh set of dreams and the will to make them happen, your vision board and a couple resolutions just for good measure.

Though we like to think of ourselves as purveyors of style, we have a couple fashion and beauty resolutions for 2014 (because you can never be too glamorous). Check them out!

Guys, my beauty resolution is all about skincare. Thankfully, I’ve been blessed with good genes from my Mama and only deal with the occasional pimple. BUT I’ve become spoiled and committed a myriad of sins from falling asleep with my makeup on (during Fashion Week! no excuse though) and slacking on using eye cream and face masks. No longer! This year, I’m more committed than ever to skincare starting with the regular use of my Clarisonic, La Prairie eye cream (I sang its praises in interviews with Cocotique and Styleblazer) and Neutrogena wipes. Operation Get my Glow back. Stay tuned for a full post!

Now that I’m the mother of a busy one year old, I barely have the time and energy to shower at the end of the day. However, in 2014, I plan on making the time to pamper myself more with relaxing massages, pedicures, manicures and blowouts. OH and more lipstick and eyelash extensions, too! Here’s to a glamorous new you in 2014, Glamazons!

Wow, I can’t believe we’re embarking on a New Year! Where did the time go? My beauty resolution for 2014 is simple: I’m going to focus on being more glam! I wouldn’t say that I let myself go in 2013, but I wasn’t as open to trying the trends that I reported about. So, no more Ms. Finicky… it’s time to go glam or go home!

Glamazon Jamiese

This year, I want to be fearless with my fashion choices. I buy all these fun and sometimes over-the-top pieces from the thrift store and I never wear them because I’m so afraid I’m going to be overdressed for an event. This year, I’m wearing whatever I want, whenever I want! Who cares if I’m in a full length vintage fur chilling in Starbucks? That’s kind of expected of a Glamazon, right?

2013 has been a huge wake-up call for me in terms of my haircare routine. After going a full year without weave of any kind, I have completely fallen in love with my hair. I’m not natural but I’m loving my healthy, relaxed hair (yes, it’s possible!). It’s full, bouncy and shiny. And roller sets have become my best friend. 2014 will be the year I experiment with styles I may have never tried including updos, spiral curls, and, yes, maybe even a little color. You won’t be able to tell me anything! P.S. I so desperately need to wear more vibrant colors while I’m at it. Can’t rock a new hairstyle without spicing up your wardrobe choices, right?!

And there you have it. I’m confident we’ll follow through on each of our fashion and beauty resolutions this year. What are your style resolutions, Glamazons? Dish in the comments. Here’s to a glamazing new you in 2014!

xoxo,

The Glamazons

Love this post! My New Year’s goal is to monetize my blog, do more contributions to sites/blogs, and do the things I was too afraid to do in 2013.
