#NYFW: Zac Posen Spring 2014

Glamazons,

BadgalRiRi has finally made her fashion week debut and — can I be honest? — it was a bit disappointing for me. Rihanna and her mullet were spotted front row at the Opening Ceremony showing on Sunday in a look that was such a drag.

For the life of me, I can’t understand why she added those clunky Creepers with her gorgeous Zac Posen dress. Let’s hope she leaves the mullet and the Creepers at home and instead, changes into a dress from his Spring 2014 collection. (What?! He’d surely let her wear it fresh off the runway. Haha, I had to pun that. Sorry!)

In fact, I’m sure everyone in attendance (and watching via livestream) would gladly ditch their outfit for one of Zac‘s romantic gowns. This was his most dramatic collection yet.

Here are the deets!

Inspiration:

Nineteenth-century romance. Posen chose French actress Sarah Bernhardt as his muse and the influences can be seen in the voluminous ball gowns, cascading ruffles and satin corsets. Posen offered both cocktail dresses with flirty hemlines as well as red carpet gowns with trumpet style trains. To bring his collection to life, Posen used pastel colors like blush pinks, mint greens, and soft blues.

Key Pieces:

Strapless cocktail dress comprised of ruffles, silk slip dresses, floral print jacquard jackets and strapless gowns with Posen‘s signature mermaid style hemlines.

Who I Could See Wearing The Collection:

Kelly Osbourne, Coco Rocha, Uma Therman, Amber Heard, Lucy Liu, and Eva Longoria.

Glamazons, it takes a really glamorous woman to pull off all these ruffles, don’t you think? What’s your verdict on the collection?

Fashionably yours,

Glamazon Jamiese
