#NYFW Backstage Beauty: ELLE Fashion Next – Wet Hair Look by Kerastase

Glamazons,

The Elle Fashion Next Spring 2014 runway show was all about the wet look using products from Kerastase. Shiny, sleek hair and unkempt waves are definitely sure to turn heads and give you a high fashion edge for the Spring season.

Get The Look:

-Apply 2-3 pumps of Elixir Ultime onto dry hair, concentrating on the mid-lengths to ends where hair tends to be naturally dry. Create a not-so-perfect deep side parting on left side.

-Beginning at the nape area, take 1” horizontal sections and saturate hair completely with Boucles D’art Curl Defining Mousse. Saturation is key to get the full effect of the “New Wet Look.” After section is saturated, comb through for even distribution and rake through fingers for natural separation.

-Continue working up the head in 1” horizontal sections. Use a clip at the nape area to keep the hair condensed so it looks as if its fresh out of the water from swimming.

-Drape some soft pieces over the forehead and temporarily, clip in place. Dry hair using a diffuser. Remove clips just before the hair is dry and spray a generous amount of Lacque Couture for exceptional hold.

Here’s the look on the runway:

In addition to giving you a statement-making beauty look, the products also help to improve the health of your hair. When in the sun, Elixir Ultime acts like a hot oil treatment and Boucles D’Art is great to control and define texture while resisting humidity. Win-win!

Glamazons, is the wet look on your beauty radar?

Ciao Bellas,

Glamazon Margo
