Glamazon Guide: What To Wear For All Your End-of-Summer Festivities #GlamIslandSpiced

Glamazons,

Summer is slipping away, I can feel it! Before it goes, I plan to do all my favorite summery things just one more time. That means going away for a weekend vacation (I already went to Atlanta and New Orleans this summer), spending a day at the beach and dancing the night away at a rooftop party. And maybe I’ll have time to throw in a concert or music festival outing, too?

Oh! And one of my all-time favorite pasttimes is sailing (I love water and swear I was a mermaid in a former life) so I’m super excited about a cruise and dinner coming up next week with Malibu Island Spiced. Is there a better way to end summer than on a boat? (No…)

Toasting the end of summer isn’t just about getting my fill of warm-weather activities. It’s also the perfect time to indulge in summer trends one last time.

Here are a couple summer looks I plan to embrace before the season ends:

1. Punchy Nails For The Beach

Summer is the perfect time to show your “Bright side, Done right!” And nothing says summer like a bright manicure. I especially love getting my toes painted in the punchiest colors and hitting the beach. Earlier this summer, I rocked a green mani, but I think I’ll go bright and orange for Labor Day Weekend.

2. Bright Accessories For a Rooftop Soiree or Summer Date

From mirrored-lens sunglasses to coral pumps to a bright yellow purse, there is no limit to the bright accessories you can pile on with a white summer dress. The look is perfect for everything from a rooftop soiree to a sexy summer date.

3. Color-Blocking For Dinner on a Cruise!

Is there such a thing as too much color? Absolutely not (especially in the summer)! For the look seen in InStyle Magazine, I rocked one of summer’s biggest trends: marigold. I paired it with an equally vibrant skirt for a delightfully bold and energetic look. I plan to wear it to a fabulous cruise and dinner I have coming up next week with Malibu Island Spiced.

4. Neon Shoes For Work

It’s hard to say goodbye (Boys II Men voice) to neon for summer. I’ve loved traipsing through New York City in my neon sandals (so much that I’m finding ways to wear them in Fall). One of my favorite ways to wear neon is as a pop of color in an otherwise work-friendly look. I paired my neon sandals with a floral pencil skirt and orange blazer for a colorful yet polished outfit. For those last summer days at the office, I recommend a pop of neon color to spice up your work day.

5. A Loud Lip For Every Occasion

OK I’m going to be honest – I don’t plan on giving up my affinity for bold lipsticks come Fall. But there’s nothing quite like a vibrant hue on the lips in the middle of summer. There are few lipstick colors I didn’t try this season from orange to pink. I may wear this pink lip everyday during my weekend vacation, just to get my fill. =)

What are your end-of-summer plans, Glamazons? Any summer trends you plan to wear one last time?

Kisses,

Glamazon Jessica
