In Honor of Our Motions Hair Takeover, We’re Giving Away 2 Motions Straight Finish Sets and Flat Irons!

Glamazons,

By now, I’m sure many of you have read my review of Motions Straight Finish products. If not, here’s a quick rundown: I used the full collection, which includes a cleanser, leave-in conditioner and sealer, to straighten my hair and was in love with the results! My strands were completely straight, had lustre and I felt my hair was strengthened and moisturized in the process.

Initially, I was concerned about heat damage and whether my curls would revert back to normal after straightening. When I went back to curly, my hair bounced back right away and I didn’t have to worry about damage from heat at all.

Since I had a great experience with the products, I jumped at the chance to take over Motions Hair on Facebook and Twitter this week and share my experience with fans of the brand!

If you’ve been following along on Motions Hair accounts, you may have seen a couple questions from followers about everything from my experience with Motions Straight Finish to protecting natural hair from breakage.

Here’s a quick Q&A with questions from followers below:

Q: Carine writes: Hi there, Read your blog about these products. My hair type is a 3C–tight to loose curls. I’m wondering if these products will loosen my curls if I don’t blow it dry. I don’t want it to be straight, necessarily, just loosen up the curl a bit.

A: Hey Carine! Thanks for reading our review. =) The Motions Straight Finish products work best when you use all three together. But if you aren’t looking to straighten your hair, the shampoo should help to loosen up the curls.

Q: Raquel asks: I saw your post that you used Motion Straight Finish. Did your curls go back to normal later? How much time for your curls to come back?

A: Hi there, Raquel! Thanks for checking out the post. My curls bounced back to normal without any signs of heat damage. That’s one of the reasons I am so satisfied with the product. They also came back as soon as I washed them.

Q: Teresa wanted to know: What is the best way to fix hair breakage on natural hair?

A: Hey there, Teresa! To fix breakage, we recommend moisturizing with a leave-in or deep conditioning treatment (I love Motions Deep Conditioning Masque), wearing protective styles, applying an oil that seals your ends to prevent splitting, sleeping in a silk scarf or on a silk pillow case and getting your ends trimmed. Hope these tips help!
