#NYFW: Tadashi Shoji Fall 2013 with Angela Simmons

Glamazons, When I tell you it’s my dream job to look at gowns coming down the runway! I seriously could do it all day. Especially when the designer is Tadashi Shoji.

So hype about my seat I had to take a picture!

And I’m not his only fan.

Angela Simmons chatted with me front row saying: “Tadashi is so feminine and his clothes just fit amazing. I love the dress that I’m wearing and he always has a fresh, new point-of-view so I love coming to his shows.”

This show didn’t disappoint! Here are the deets:

-Inspiration: Tadashi was inspired by “the splendor of Russian Empire and the eventual fall of imperial rule.” That explains why the collection is regal and feminine yet dark and enchanting.

-Key Pieces: Tadashi sent a parade of exquisite gowns in sumptuous velvet, rich silk and languid chiffon fabric. The gowns were uplifted by lace overlay and intricate embroidery. The collection was rooted in powerful yet muted hues of scarlet, rose, blush pink, navy and white.

-Who We Could See Working This Collection: Angela Simmons (of course), Fan Bingbing, Sanaa Lathan, Octavia Spencer, Vanessa Williams.

What do you think of the line, Glamazons?
