The Glamazons’ New Year’s Fashion and Beauty Resolutions

Glamazons,

I hope your 2013 is off to an amazing start! The first couple of weeks of the new year is always a great time to reflect on your accomplishments and lessons of the past year (read mine here) and set goals and visions for the coming year (vision board post to come!).

Since The Glamazons are all fashion and beauty lovers at heart, our resolutions are all style-related from pampering ourselves with more blowouts to making sure our hair is as healthy as possible. Here are a few:

Glamazon Jessica

Glamazons, you know how terrified I was to go natural but now I’m falling in love with my hair all over again. It’s soft, strong and now longer than it’s ever been. This year, I want to make a stronger commitment to keeping it healthy from the inside out. That means eating right (and getting this waist snatched!), exercising, taking vitamins and drinking water — and using glamazing products that promote strength, hydration and growth. I want a Diana Ross ‘fro by summer.

I will also continue to experiment with lipstick though it terrifies me (I think I did a good job this year, no?) and I’ll be sharing my faves here soon.

Finally I want a sickening shoe collection by the end of the year…just because.

BOOM!

Glamazon Andrea

This year I plan on getting more blow-outs. After a year of hardly any extra hair loving for my mane, I’m ready to spoil it all over again!

Glamazon Margo

Last year I vowed to rock more bold lip colors. My beauty resolution this year is to nurture my hair more with the use of protective styles like braids and twists. I’ve been a slave to my wigs and sew-ins for a while now. (Not saying I’m completely letting them go either! Baby steps…) I know some people think box-braids need to disappear this year, but I’m loving mine!

I feel very eloquent, sexy, sassy and hipster-chic with them. I’m having a blast with them so far and look forward to flaunting this new ‘do for a while.

Glamazon Jamiese

Last year I fell head over hills in love with LEATHER. I’m talking leather pants, leather sleeves, shorts and skirts #LeatherErrrythang.  I’m not quite Kimye status, but I’m one leather pants leg away.  This year I will try to walk away from the trends and pick up a few timeless pieces.

Anddd I’m addicted to my  22 inch Eurasian Natural Wavy weave. In 2013 I will admit myself to weave rehab and take it one hair installment at a time. The struggle is real people. Hair gawds be with me.

That’s it for us! What are your fashion and beauty resolutions this year, Glamazons?

Tell us in the comments.

Kisses/xo,

Glamazon Jessica, Andrea, Margo & Jamiese
