Glamazons, I can’t count how many times I hear that folks are over — like completely over — bodycon silhouettes. They were sexy and went hand-in-hand with the whole curve-obsessed era (which I credit Queen Beyonce for) but once every reality show star started living in them (like cartoon characters), it was time for a new silhouette. Meet the skater dress.
It’s sexy (it still gives you a snatched waist and skims your curves) but more swingy and whimsical than the painted-on bodycon look. It’s also adorable and feminine, which of course, means I’m completely in love with it.
The dress is also super versatile, meaning you can dress it up with black tights and booties or dress it down with leggings and boots. AND it spans seasons – pull those tights off and you have a dress that will work next summer and Spring too.
