GLAM SCOOP: Common Launches Clothing Line, Alexander Wang In at Balenciaga?, Rihanna and Chris Brown Declare Their Love with Matching Rolexes
Glamazons, I hope you had the most amazing week! I ended mine with a bang traveling, shopping (finding the most amazing sales at an unexpected store – deets soon come!) and watching “Scandal” of course. That is my show! While I got my life via Kerry Washington and Shonda Rhimes, the fashion and beauty world kept turning.
Here’s the tea!
–Alexander Wang is rumored to be the new Creative Director for Balenciaga! Ahhhmazing! Alexander Wang couldn’t be more different aesthetically than Nicolas Ghesquiere, whose flair for the avant garde helped reinvent the brand since 1997. Wang is decidedly more streamlined and minimalist, so he will perhaps usher in a cooler, edgier era for the fashion house. Can’t wait to see what’s in store. – Fashionista
–Rihanna and Chris Brown are in love, Glamazons, and they don’t care who knows. Rih posted a picture of them hugging yesterday (above…oh and totally unrelated: do you see that snatched waist?!). And they also instragrammed a matching Rolex moment because it’s not love if you can’t show it through fashion.
Hmmm…nobody’s business but you all on social media? Sideeye. – iluluonline
The windswept hair, pretty pout and all black outfits are giving me all the life I need. No wonder Fitz is hooked! – Uptown Magazine
–Wendy Williams may be in the middle of a lawsuit, but that’s not stopping her from getting checks. The talk show host showed off her nipped and tucked curves and lion’s mane weave for PETA. Looking fab, Aunt Wendy! – Clutch
-Ouch! Selita Ebanks revealed that she didn’t make the cut for this year’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show. After 4 or 5 years strutting in lingerie, she says she’s officially retired. Atleast she still has BET‘s “Rip The Runway.” – Huffington Post Style
–Common is officially a designer! The handsome actor/rapper just announced a clothing line! He also launched a website, ThinkCommon.com which will feature news about the “Luv” star, a community forum and exclusive photo and video galleries available to paid members. A $1 donation to Common Ground Foundation gets you access to the exclusive forums, blogs, private photo and video galleries and certain contest & campaigns. A $30 donation gets you the ‘In Support of Art & Life’ membership, which includes basic membership as well as an exclusive t-shirt (only available by purchasing this package) and access to pre-sale tickets.
I’ll sign up just for the photos. Swoon.
Have a fab weekend!
