Get The Look: Zoe Saldana’s Sexy Waves at the 2012 MTV VMAs
Glamazons, Zoe Saldana was ravishing on the red carpet at the 2012 MTV VMAs, am I right? She looked tres chic in her Salvatore Ferragamo dress and lace-up heels. But I really fell in love with those luscious waves! Too pretty!
Well, I did some digging and found out her hair was the work of celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak, who used Oscar Blandi products to create her tasseled faux-bob.
Follow these steps, from Mara Roscak, to get the look:
To get this look, I started by applying Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil Serum to her towel-dried hair. I always apply product to the hair starting at the ends and working my way up. The ends tend to absorb the most products, keeping it lighter towards the roots. This oil not only smells amazing but it protects the hair from heat styling.
I then rough dried her hair to enhance its natural texture, until it was completely dry. With a 3/4″ curling iron, I took random sections of hair and wrapped it around the barrel, leaving just the tips of the ends out. Once the whole head was curled. I pieced each section out with my fingers, just pulling apart the curls.
I lifted hair from the ends to the roots and sprayed Oscar Blandi Pronto Texture & Volume Spray for extra volume.
I then gently teased the underneath sections of the hair for grip and loosely tucked the ends under and pinned in place, criss-crossing the bobby pins. Allow some of the layers to fall out for a messier look.
Finish by spraying Oscar Blandi Lacca Hairspray. This hair spray is perfectly lightweight but has an incredible hold, and a soft feel on the hair.
There you have it. Do you love this look, Glamazons? Will you try it?
