GLAM SLAM: Beyonce’s 40/40 Obama Fundraiser Event Oscar de la Renta Cowlneck, Quarter-Sleeve Red Dress and Embellished Belt
Mother Beyonce is making major moves these days, isn’t she Glamazons? From performing at the United Nations (if you missed it, see the video here and prepare to cry) to hosting a fundraiser for President Barack Obama, she is operating on a whole ‘nother level.
The superstar and her successful entrepreneur hubby Jay-Z hosted the dinner, which cost $40,000 a ticket to attend, at his famed 40/40 club in New York City. (P.S. to think of all the nights my girls and I partied there with no Obama in sight! Nothing but thirsty men. Sigh).
Beyoncé looked even more gorgeous than usual…if that’s possible. She wore an Oscar de la Renta red dress with a cowlneck and quarter-length sleeves and a matching bejeweled belt. So demure yet beautiful.
To set off her look, Beyoncé went for rosy blush, deep red lips and soft blonde curls. Her skin had the most natural glow. As friend to The Glamazons, Cliché says “Get into her flawlessness!”
Of course, the dinner was a complete lovefest with Bey saying: ”I can’t tell you how proud we are to host tonight’s event with President Obama. We believe in his vision.”
And Obama said she’s a great role model for his girls because she carries herself with poise and class. Umm, you’ve officially made it when the President of the free world calls you classy, Glamazons.
He also said he and Jay-Z have a special bond. ”Jay knows what my life is like. We both have daughters and our wives are more popular than we are. So, you know, we’ve got a little bond there.” *melts*
