GLAM OR SHAM?: Beyonce’s Tumblr Manicure with Her and Jay-Z’s Faces
Disclaimer: if I had a amazing, successful, swaggy husband who thought I was the best performer alive and was completely in love with me, I might get his face on my nails. So I have not an ounce of shade for Beyonce‘s nail art.
But folks online are being mighty critical of her Tumblr picture showing off the above manicure on a fan’s hands. Hmmm…
Dagger nails and 3-D accouterments are all the rage right now so the nails are stylish but it seems folks are freaked out by the photographs of her and Jay-Z surrounded by gold studs.
Bey loves repping for her favorite people, Jay-Z and Blue, on her nails. She’s worn a blue manicure as a tribute to her chubby little bundle of joy and has rocked Jay-Z‘s face on her Minx as early as the Sasha Fierce era. So she’s clearly all about a nail tribute on her or anyone else.
And I just love the “B,” “J” and “Z” nails and the “IV” nail. As you know, “IV” is the Roman Numeral for 4, Beyonce and Jay-Z’s birthdays, their wedding date and the name of Bey’s last album. Ivy is also Blue’s middle name. SWOON City.
