What They Wore: 2012 MTV Movie Awards with Kristen Stewart, Ciara, Jessica Biel, Kat Graham and More
Glamazons,
Did you catch the 2012 MTV Movie Awards last night? I always love MTV Awards shows because instead of giving you dramatic, formal fashions like say Cannes Film Festival, celebs can really have fun with their looks. At the MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, Glamazons did just that.
Check out the fashion-forward stahs from Jennifer Aniston to Ciara who stepped out last night and decide whether their designer duds were GLAM or a SHAM. Let’s take a look, shall we?
Jennifer Aniston, who won Best On-Screen Dirtbag for her role in Horrible Bosses (lol, that happened), sizzled in a leather Valentino dress.

She completed the look with sparkling Fred Leighton jewelry and Giuseppe Zanotti pumps (not visible) and of course, her golden popcorn award. GLAM. And her workout is everything.
Mila Kunis wowed in a Fendi dress with a vibrant red, black and white print complimented by Jimmy Choo black peeptoe pumps. GLAM.
Jessica Biel looked chic in a Chanel white dress with voluminous sleeves which she paired with a Giles and Brothers bracelet and to-die-for Barbara Bui sandals.
The Barbara Bui green nubuck “Biker” sandals feature colorblocking and a trendy ankle strap. They are the perfect stylish addition to this look. GLAM!
Ciara who stars in “That’s My Boy” coming out this week went for a mature, sexy look in a Balmain red-hot mini with a slit and plunging neckline. She completed the look with nude Christian Louboutin ‘Pigalle’ pumps.
Love this look except for the ombre hair. She needs Glamazon Margo‘s tips. Still GLAM!
Leighton Meester was adorbs in a Christian Cota Spring 2012 look. The cream pleated shorts, sleeveless jacket and printed blouse would have proved stuffy had it not been for her Brian Atwood ‘Claudia Bis’ pumps and fierce orange lips. She also added Neil Lane jewels and a Jimmy Choo bag. GLAM.
Janelle Monae gave us a fun variation on her signature black-and-white ensembles with a one-button blazer, crop pants, loafers and a top hat. I love the pop of pink color on her lips; her makeup is always flawless! GLAM.
Emma Watson went for a futuristic look with a structured Brood top and skirt which she paired with strappy Tabitha Simmons sandals. Love this look but so not crazy about her hair in that awkward stage. Can you imagine how her pixie cut would’ve looked with this? Still GLAM.
Amber Rose showed up beside fiancee Wiz Khalifa in a beautiful mint green mesh dress with floral embroidery. She accessorized with nude peeptoe pumps, nude lips and glamorous lashes. GLAM but sorry her husband’s checkered pants are distracting me. They need some Jada Pinkett/Will Smith coordination tips if they’re going to be hitting up red carpet events til death do them part.
Elizabeth Banks rocked our world in an Elie Saab black stretch crepe long sleeve jumpsuit with lace cut-out panels. The fit of this jumpsuit is impeccable and sexy. She gets our best-dressed for the night. Elizabeth accessorized with Ruthie Davis ‘Beverly’ pumps, a Stephen Webster ring and a Lulu Guinness clutch. GLAM.
Julianne Hough went for the trendy two-piece look with a Sally Lapointe dress with a strategically-placed cut-out and Jimmy Choo peeptoe pumps. She completed the look with a Kelly Wearstler clutch and earrings (not visible). This outfit is overdosing on trends from the lace material to peplum to the cutout. I would’ve preferred it without the peplum as it looks too busy to me. This is a SHAM.
Julia Jones gets my second best-dressed vote of the night for her spectacular Joy Cioci neon dress. The color is so rich and bright and I love the scalloped hem and peplum waist. Trends come together brilliantly here. Totes GLAMAZE.
Christina Ricci looked darling on the red carpet in a custom Christian Siriano dress inspired by an 1884 oil painting called The Portrait of Madame X. All of the Timex watches embellished here are working watches. How. Cool.
She complimented the look with Casadei roundtoe platform pumps, Neil Lane drop earrings and of course, a Timex watch. GLAM.
Emma Stone struck the perfect balance between funky and chic in a Martin Grant structured top and simple white skirt. She completed her bold yet clean look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, a Fendi clutch, Brian Atwood ‘Grace’ pumps (kept the black/white theme going) and a pop of color on the lips. GLAM.
Finally, Kat Graham who was the style correspondent for MTV on the red carpet, brought the sultriness in a Maria Lucia Hohan gown with a plunging neckline, draping about the waist and a sassy front slit. She kept the sexy theme going with large gold structured hoops, slicked back hair, a smokey eye and Ruthie Davis ‘Dragon’ sandals. GLAM.
Well, that finishes our roundup! What did you think of the show? Host Russell Brand was quite funny, even joking about his ex Katy Perry and Justin Bieber beating up the paps. See the video here:
