GLAM SCOOP: Kim Kardashian Makes Her Vogue Debut with Kanye West on Set, Serena Williams Covers Vogue, Jessica Simpson Launches Maternity Line

Happy Monday, Glamazons!

How was your weekend? I spent mine mingling with the ever-fabulous Mikki Taylor, preparing Mother’s Day dinner with my family and dancing for my life at the annual Stevie Wonder tribute party. Great times! Hope you had a beautiful Mother’s Day weekend as well and are refreshed and ready for the week!

While we celebrated Mother’s Day and partied, the fashion and beauty kept turning. Here’s the scoop!

Rapper Athlete Serena Williams covers the June 2012 Olympic-themed issue of Vogue alongside Hope Solo and swimmer Ryan Lochte. Shot by Annie Leibovitz, the cover is a little more sports and body-focused (understandably) and not very fashion-centered though we love Serena and Hope‘s makeup and those gorgeous ruched gold swimsuits. What do you think of the cover? – The Fashion Spot

Fashion Star‘s Jessica Simpson just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Maxwell Drew, and is capitalizing on her mommy-dom with a maternity line to add to her growing billion-dollar retail empire. Since her shoes are actually cute (cue Sh*t Fashion Girls Say), I’m looking forward to it. Are you? – People Style Watch

Marc Jacobs is my hero. For obvious reasons (he’s one of the best designers EVER), but also because he’s kind of hilarious. Remember the intern drama, his response to ignoring CFDA‘s “suggested” model age limit and his see-through lace Commes des Garcons dress at the 2012 Met Gala (“I didn’t want to wear a tuxedo…and be boring” he said)? All funny.

His latest entertaining bit? After his Soho store was vandalized (allegedly by famous graffiti artist Kidult), instead of getting angry, Marc decided to sell the image of his store with “Art” sprayed in graffiti on the front window, on a t-shirt. Therein, Art by Art Jacobs was born. See? Hilar!

Kidult doesn’t think so as he’s not getting a dime off the unlikely collaboration. He tweeted “@MarcJacobsIntl … ??? LET’S PLAY, but we don’t play the same rules!”. Oh lord, Drama! I totally think Kidult should let it go, considering they don’t seem to be pressing charges, which they obvi could. Anyway, don’t you adore the shirt? It can be yours for $689. Kidult should totally get one. – Fashionista

-While Anna Wintour allegedly dissed Kim Kardashian, Vogue Italia EIC Franca Sozzani kinda digs her. The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” reality star nabbed a spot in L’Uomo Vogue and true to her oversharing ways, tweeted during the photo shoot. “Amazing shoot today for Vogue Italia! Thank you @Rushka_Bergman & @akafrancesco for your creative genius!!!.” I’d pay a million bucks to see Anna Wintour’s face right now. (Thinking it looks something like this).

Franca Sozzani tweeted to clarify that Kim will actually appear in L’Uomo Vogue. “@KimKardashian will be the star of photo shoot in the July/August number of L’#UomoVogue.” Well, that’s better than no Vogue at all. Check out a shot from Kim’s editorial above and behind-the-scenes pictures including her kissing Kanye West on set below:

Until tomorrow!
