GLAM SCOOP: Kanye West’s Yeezi Necklace is $1,300, Nicole Richie for Macy’s, Idris Elba for British GQ
I pulled an all-nighter to report here on fashion prom (aka the 2012 Met Gala) and write this post on Snooki and I am currently running on adrenaline and Starbucks alone and am actually wearing my sunglasses indoors as I type because my eyes look like I was punched in the face by Floyd Mayerweather (from allergies) and I’ve run out of Oil of Olay eye cream. All that to say, let’s jump right in today’s news, yes?
Would you pay $1,284 to wear Kanye West‘s name on your chest? Me either. That’s how much he’s selling his nameplate necklace for at Colette Paris. I wouldn’t pay that much to wear Idris Elba‘s name and I love him. – Styleite
Speaking of Idris Elba, DAMN! Here’s the god among men actor posing for British GQ Magazine‘s June 2012 issue. Yum! – Not An Option
Did Madonna rip off the logo for her sexy “Truth or Dare” perfume?
Handle that scandal, Mother Madge. – Oh No They Didn’t
While other models were hitting the red carpet and taking cell phone pics at the Met Gala, Alessandra Ambrosio was giving birth to a son! Congrats to her and fiancé Jamie Mazur on their Met Gala baby, Noah. – Just Jared
What in the male eyeliner hell is Tom Cruise‘s new cover for W Magazine? The veteran actor poses, in theme with his new movie Rock of Ages, alongside models Abbey Lee Kershaw and Edita Vilkeviciute. Looks…awkward. What do you think of this cover? – The Cut Blog
My beloved Glamazon Nicole Richie is continuing to build her fashion empire with a line for Macy’s. The 24-30 piece collection will be available mid-September and inspired by the 70s and Richie’s signature style. Does that mean sweeping maxi dresses and headpieces? We can only hope!
Here’s what Richie had to say: “This collection has a strong mix of masculine and feminine: printed chiffon mixed with faux leathers. It’s a collection, Richie added, for the “modern woman” and her “many different layers…Women are wearing so many different hats these days. Not just working but creating.” Ugh, love her! – Fashionista
