Would You Wear…A Red Wedding Gown Spotted at Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta Bridal Spring 2013?

Hey Glamazons!

OK, remember when we went crazy over the black wedding gowns that came down the runway late last year? The spectacular dresses turned tradition on its head for a dark, romantic statement. This season is seeing a similarly bold trend but the hue of choice is red.

Yes, red wedding gowns have popped up on the bridal runways, specifically Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta in every shade from fiery red to scarlet and crimson.

The red hue is the brightest and most dramatic I’ve ever seen used in bridal fashion and certainly makes a memorable statement which is the goal of (most) brides. And red is the color of love, right?

Still, red gowns can appear loud and even racy for a bride especially when compared to the elegance and purity of a traditional white gown.

What do you think of the trend, Glamazons? Would you wear a red wedding gown?

Reese Witherspoon, Cynthia Bailey and Kelis have all worn color wedding gowns (pink, gray and green, respectively). If you would opt out of white, what hue would you go for?
