GLAM SCOOP: Jennifer Lopez Requests Roberto Cavalli Wedding Gown? Kim Kardashian Sues Plastic Surgeon and More
Morning, Glamazons! Hope you are enjoying your almost-Friday Thursday. I had a blast last night at June Ambrose‘s Styled by June screening (more tea on that to come!) and promise you will love the show! ‘Twas fun rubbing shoulders with June’s famous friends like, oh, Jay-Z (SQUEAL!). I’m even more excited for tonight’s celebration for Channing In The City‘s two year anniversary. And I’m going to wear Marni for H&M afterall! Stay tuned for tons and tons of pics.
For now, let’s get to today’s fashion and beauty news, shall we? Here’s the scoop!
Jennifer Lopez Requests Roberto Cavalli Wedding Gown?
Kim Kardashian Sues Plastic Surgeon
Kim Kardashian doesn’t like when people use her image in vain. The latest offense comes from a Mexican plastic surgery company run by Dr. Victor Ramirez that used a picture of Kimmy in their billboard ads without cutting her a check. And you know she’s not having that. TMZ called (love them) and Ramirez said: “Obviously I did not speak to Kim Kardashian. I do not have her number.” Umm dude, that means you’re going down. [TMZ]
The Hollywood Reporter Names 25 Most Powerful Stylists
The Hollywood Reporter released their 25 most powerful stylists list, in which Kate Young, who styles Natalie Portman and Michelle Williams, nabs the top spot. Rachel Zoe doesn’t even make top the list (she’s apparently ‘too big’ to rank…pow!), Brad Goreski made #20 and June Ambrose (or any stylists of color, for that matter) doesn’t make the ranking at all. CFDA Honorees Announced!
The CFDA 2012 honoree list has been announced and we are just as thrilled to see Marc Jacobs, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Pamela Love, Alexander Wang and Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty of Suno on the list as we are confused to see Johnny Depp up for a Fashion Icon award. The Media Award for Garance Dore and Scott Schuman, however, is long overdue. Take a peek at the full list over at Beauty Is Diverse. [Beauty Is Diverse]
Leighton Meester for Marie Claire Magazine
Obvs, yellow is the color du jour this Spring (hello, Nicole Richie) and as such, looks spectacular on Leighton Meester on the April 2012 cover of Marie Claire. Stunning in a Reed Krakoff dress, Meester opens up inside the mag about her tough childhood, saying “I couldn’t relate to kid stuff. ‘Jimmy doesn’t like me!’ Who cares? I was worried we didn’t have gas money or food. Those were my concerns.” Wow. So inspiring to see how far she’s come!

InStyle To Launch Italian Edition
Get ready for an Italian edition of InStyle which already has 15 editions worldwide from Brazil to Spain to South Korea. I always slightly favor Italian editions (obviously Vogue Italia) so looking forward to this one! [WWD]
Lala, Carmelo and Kiyan Anthony for Vogue Plus See Her Motives Ad!
I feel like I haven’t said this in a couple of weeks so let me go on record that Lala Vazquez-Anthony is freaking amazing. So kind and genuine! Like, I’m all about her aura. So it makes me super happy to see her conquering the style industry one shoot at a time. In her latest conquests, she appears along with hubby Carmelo Anthony and son in the April 2012 issue of Vogue. Is Kiyan Anthony not the star of this shoot?! I’m just saying. Can’t wait to see the full spread!
She also released the official ad for her Motives by Lala makeup collection. Her makeup is so brills and love the curve she’s giving. Sultry, right?
Note I am currently getting on my knees and praying: (1) Carmelo didn’t cheat. (2) She isn’t blamed for the terrible bad luck the New York Knicks are having right now. Should be an entertaining season, though! [iluluonline/VH1]
